The KFDA hosted a workshop from July 10 to July 12, 2012 of international regulatory agencies with an aim to help domestic biopharmaceutical manufacturers advance to overseas markets and enhance international confidence in vaccine safety management.

The WHO and regulatory officers from the SFDA (China) and Health Canada were among the participants of the workshop. For reference, domestic vaccine production shot up from 150 billion won in 2006 to 590 billion won in 2010, and vaccines accounted for more than 75% of the total biopharmaceutical exports in 2010.
