The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS, Minister OH Yu-Kyoung) co-hosts the 8th INFOSAN* Regional Meeting in Asia-Pacific with the World Health Organization Western Pacific Regional Office (WHO WPRO), and etc. on December 6 and 7 in Osong, Chungcheongbuk-do.

* As a global network of food safety authorities from 188 countries established the WHO and FAO in 2004, the International Food Safety Authorities Network, or INFOSAN, seeks to prevent the spread of hazardous foods through prompt information exchange in case of food safety emergencies. A group of INFOSAN members in Asia includes 17 Asian countries, such as the Republic of Korea and China, as well as WHO WPRO nations.
