At the CAC 48, “Kimchi Cabbage” Was Included in the Codex Standard for Kimchi to Refer to Chinese Cabbage Used as a Key Ingredient in Kimchi
Sejong, 28 November 2025 — The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), and the Korea Food Research Institute (KFRI) announced that they achieved significant success in solidifying the international standing of traditional Korean foods and agri-fishery products at the 48th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission1) (CAC48) held in Rome, Italy, from 10 to 14 November.
